Higham's
annual Arts & Crafts Exhibition is now in its 38th
year!!
It was one of the first events of its kind to be established,
and has since gained an enviable reputation, for being
one of the finest in the area.
- Sales stalls by local artists and craftspeople
- Lunches & refreshments daily
- Working craft demonstrations
- Birds of prey display
- Book sale
- Organ music in church daily.
We are only able to maintain the church in our village
because of the enormous contribution, which the Exhibition
makes to our income. Last year it provided 24% of the
income necessary to meet the day-to-day running costs.
We are most grateful to those who work so hard every
year to make the Exhibition a success.
We should also be most grateful for any donations of
homemade cakes & produce for sale in the tearoom
& on our village stall.
This year, in addition to over 70 exhibitors
in the school, we are supporting other charities by
providing them with a stall in the village hall where
they will be able to sell their new goods.
These will be open from 12.00pm to 5.00pm
There will also be demonstrations of working crafts
every day in the village hall. On Sunday we shall be
having the birds of prey once again. Every day there
will be organ music in church, where you can choose
a piece of music or a hymn to be played.
We look forward to seeing you all & take this opportunity
to thank you in anticipation of your support. |
