During several periods of the year Ann Weekes works tirelessly to create a rota of different church tasks to be carried out each week.
The church needs to be cleaned the day before the Sunday service. On Sunday�s we need people to greet, and welcome with hymn books, those who are attending the service.
During the service, we need people to help deliver intercession prayers. This is not something that should be viewed as difficult, as the Revd Bury has provided a prepared text and only requires the weekly concerns and prayers to be inserted.
Your help with this important task would be invaluable, otherwise the task consistently falls on the same small group of contributors each month.
Here�s where you can help. By becoming part of the team and putting your name on the rota, you�ll make it much easier for Ann to provide people with less dates to meet.
Playing your part, in this way, helps to give each person the opportunity to give something to the service, and creates a means where prayers are heard from a wide selection of the congregation.
The phrase �many hands make light work�, is so true, and none less that with rota duties. The more we contribute to the organisation of our church, the easier the work becomes.
Your willingness to participate is what gives strength to a church community, and each person can help to lessen the work of others.
Those who do it would only be too pleased to help you with guidance and support.
