The Higham Scarecrow Festival will take place over the August bank holiday weekend, 28th,29th,30th August, with the main focus of the day being the huge collection of scarecrows that have been designed & built by residents . This year the theme is music / musicals.
To date over 70 entrants have been received and the scarecrows will be presented in various locations around the village and will feature various depictions within the theme of music / musicals.
Visitors to the festival can purchase a "scarecrow trail" map which will detail all of the scarecrow locations.
The day will also feature light lunches, refreshments, chidren's quiz, garden flowers and shrubs for sale and a secondhand book sale all of which will be available in the village hall and the church.
OUTDOOR SONGS OF PRAISE There will also be an outdoor songs of praise on the Sunday at the back of St John's at 4pm.
